Seasonal cut flowers in Fluxed Earth vase

$160.00

Handpicked floral studio and Fluxed Earth Ceramics collaborate with a display of local, seasonal flowers and foliage beautifully arranged in a hand built and carved stoneware vase. Each vase is water tight being fired to 1300°C.

Working with local growers and seasonal florals, and relying on nature to dictate the perfect ingredients for your floral display, I work unscripted in my design process. By working in this way it ensures that you receive the most beautiful floral arrangement with the best quality blooms available.

Choose your budget below and I’ll take care of the rest.

(Delivery within Castlemaine is $10, to the close surrounding area with a postcode of 3451 it costs $15, and to areas such as Maldon, Harcourt and Elphinstone it is $25. The fee is calculated and added at checkout).

** I buy specifically for each order and so I close online orders before my big weekly market run of the week. Next available days can be viewed after choosing a budget below. If you miss my online cut off time, contact me directly as I often have fresh flowers available, email: hello@handpickedfloristry.com, or call/text during business hours 0435457135

fluxed earth is the collaborative ceramics practice of Rye Senjen and Kirstie Murdoch, based on Dja Dja Wurrung Country in Castlemaine, Victoria.

Their work explores elements of ancient ceramic forms and materials together with observations of connections with and within the other-than-human world.

Fluxed earth’s current focus is on sculptural works reflecting on ancient protectors and ritual vessels and vases with highly textured surfaces referencing insect activity, fungal and plant growth patterns and rock traces.

Rye studied ceramics at the Dunedin School of Art, Ōtepoti, Aotearoa New Zealand. Rye’s work is influenced by her studies of Sanskrit literature and philosophy.

Kirstie is a self-taught ceramicist. Her ceramic practice is informed by her previous career as a biological scientist and lifelong interest in the small, often overlooked or hidden details of the natural world.
